I’m so glad you found The Messy Mom. You may be wondering why I chose the name “The Messy Mom.” The reason? Life. Is. Messy. I could call myself many things. I am blessed, loved, joyful, thankful… But
I want this to be a place where we can be honest about the challenges {and messiness!} of motherhood and marriage. Let’s be real, this motherhood journey is filled with laughter, love, tears, and the unexpected. Like Forest Gump says, “{Motherhood} is like a box of chocolates. You never know what you’re gonna get.”

Here, you’ll find stories of moms just like you who are trying to figure out this mom thing. From beginners to more experienced moms, we all need to be reminded we are not alone on this journey.

I’ll offer some of my favorite tips, tricks, and mom hacks. I’ve been a mom for nine years, and I’ll share some helpful things I’ve learned along the way.

You’ll also find some genuine, real, messy stories. My kids range in age from nine years old down to six months old. So on any given day, we may deal with anything from homework battles to tired tantrums, or sibling rivalry and bedtime battles.

If you’ve ever felt like you don’t measure up as a mom, if you could use some rest and encouragement, if you need to be reminded you aren’t alone, or if you could just use a laugh…you are in the right place.

So grab a cup of coffee, pull up a chair, and make yourself at home. It might be messy, but I’m so glad you’re here.
