Meal Plan Monday

It’s Monday again! And that means we need to be ready to cook the meals and do the things. Have you planned out your meals for the week? If not, don’t worry! It’s not too late to plan ahead for the week.

First, take an inventory of your pantry and refrigerator. Plan what you can make from what you have. What needs to be used up first before it goes bad? I always try to plan around my produce…what looks like it needs to be used soon before it’s too late?

I also don’t try to plan big elaborate meals each night. I know if I do, I will just get tired and burnt out, and that means we will end up ordering pizza or in a drive thru. This is sometimes a necessity, but our family is trying to eat healthier and spend less…which means we are also trying to skip the drive-thru. So I make sure I plan a simple night like sandwiches or breakfast. Something easy that will still keep the troops happy!
